Anupamaa: Did You Know This Bollywood Superstar is Rupali Ganguly’s Rakhi Brother?

Rupali Ganguly is a prominent name in TV, transitioning from Monisha in “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai” to Anupamaa in the current hit serial. She’s renowned and often linked with her character. Interestingly, she’s director Anil Ganguly’s daughter. Moreover, she shares a special bond with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who revealed she’s his rakhi sister. This connection adds another layer to Rupali’s multifaceted identity in the entertainment industry.

During the promotion of his movie “Rakshabandhan,” Akshay Kumar appeared on the TV show Star Parivaar. There, he met Rupali Ganguly and revealed that she used to tie him a rakhi 30 years ago for five consecutive years. On the show, Rupali tied a rakhi on Akshay’s wrist after ages. Touched by the gesture, Akshay kneeled to touch her feet and seek her blessings. Rupali was deeply moved and expressed her intention to tie him a rakhi every year from then on. This heartwarming moment showcased their special bond on national television.

Rupali Ganguly later shared pictures of herself wearing a beautiful yellow saree. She revealed that the saree was a gift from Akshay Kumar for Raksha Bandhan.
