Looks like trouble follows wherever Bigg Boss goes. Munawar Faruqui had a heated argument with a restaurant owner near Minara Masjid today. He visited a spot close to the mosque, a famous landmark in Mohammad Ali Road. Munawar, who grew up in Dongri, was confronted by a restaurant owner and staff for visiting a competitor’s place. Troubles for top Bigg Boss contestants:
A few days ago, police raided Sabalan Restaurant in Bhendi Bazaar for using tobacco-filled hookahs. Munawar Faruqui was questioned as he was there. Police asked if he smoked tobacco-filled hookah. He’s not alone in legal trouble. Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav faces scrutiny too. Police sent his phone for forensic analysis suspecting deleted data.
Munawar Faruqui’s brush with the legal system:
Munawar Faruqui spent over a month in Indore’s jail in 2021 for jokes that offended Hindus. He was accused of disrespecting Hindu deities. His personal life stirred controversy too. On Bigg Boss 17, it came out that he was allegedly involved with both Nazila and Ayesha Khan. Nazila claimed he started seeing her before divorcing his first wife. Faruqui is a father to a son.
