Nitesh Tiwari, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is gearing up to shoot a modern adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Although not officially confirmed, the movie has sparked significant excitement. Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly focusing on his physique and preparing to portray Lord Ram. Adding to the buzz, reports reveal that a versatile actress known for her work in both films and TV shows has joined the cast of Ramayana.

The actress revealed to be joining the Ramayana cast has a rich TV background, starring in shows like Kesar, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and more recently, Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare. She’s also known for her role in the movie “Animal” alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The seasoned actress is none other than Indira Krishnan. According to ETimes, she’s set to portray Lord Ram’s mother, Kausalya, in the upcoming adaptation.
Indira Krishnan, who portrayed Rashmika Mandanna’s mother in “Animal,” has caught the attention of Ramayana makers due to her professionalism and rapport with the cast. Ranbir Kapoor was so impressed that he recommended her to the producers. Indira recently shared a picture with Ranbir on her Instagram, indicating their camaraderie.

Nitesh Tiwari and his team working on Ramayana have kept things under wraps. The film is rumored to be split into two parts. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash is speculated to play Raavan. Other actors like Arun Govil, Naveen Polishetty, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol are linked to roles like Dashrath, Laxman, Hanuman, and Kumbhkaran. The movie has enlisted the Oscar-winning VFX team, DNEG. Recently, viral pictures showed Ranbir practicing headstands and archery. He’s also reportedly undergoing speech training for his role in Ramayana.
