Anupamaa usually tops the TRP charts, but this week its viewership dropped, possibly due to IPL 2024. Meanwhile, ‘Jhanak’ is still going strong!
The Week 13 TRP report is in, with many top TV serials making the cut. Newcomer ‘Jhanak’ has quickly climbed the ranks, starring Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja. Starting last November, it’s gained a dedicated fanbase and now competes with long-standing shows like ‘Anupamaa,’ ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.’ Surprisingly, ‘Jhanak’ has surpassed ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ to claim the third spot in the top five. Even the IPL 2024 couldn’t shake its popularity.
Jhanak BEATS Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai:
According to Gossips TV, this week ‘Jhanak’ scored a TRP rating of about 2.1, putting it ahead of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,’ which got a rating of 1.9. ‘Jhanak’ barely saw any drop in ratings from Week 12, maintaining its popularity. Last week, it scored around 2.2. Fans are smitten with everything about ‘Jhanak’ – from its storyline to the chemistry between the leads. Even on social media, fans are expressing nothing but positivity about the show.
Anupamaa sees a dip in numbers:
On the flip side, ‘Anupamaa,’ currently the top show, experienced a notable decline in viewership. Dropping from 2.7 last week to 2.4 this week. ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ also saw a decrease, going from 2.3 to 2.1. ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ previously in the top five, slipped to the eighth spot with a TRP rating of 1.4, down from 1.7 last week.

The IPL 2024 has definitely impacted the TRP ratings of top TV shows. ‘Pandya Store’ and ‘Shiv Shakti’ are tied at 1.5. ‘Imlie,’ ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ ‘Udne Ki Aasha,’ and ‘Mangal Laksmi’ are at the bottom with 1.4. Whether major twists in upcoming episodes will boost these shows’ ratings remains to be seen.
